RyuGyung (Rio) Park is an assistant professor in the Department of Government and the Environment and Sustainability Program at the College of William and Mary. She studies how economic and security concerns affect support for environmental protection, including climate action. Her work examines the role international economic competition plays in promoting (or obstructing) climate action. In her dissertation, she examines how international economic competition affects environmental support in the U.S. Congress and among the American public.
