Kathy Hochstetler is Professor of International Development at the LSE. She has been researching the intersection between environment and development for thirty years, focusing on international environmental negotiations, global trade and finance, and South American politics, especially in Brazil. Her most recent book is Political Economies of Energy Transition: Wind and Solar Power in Brazil and South Africa (Cambridge University Press, 2021).
