Ben Glasson is a critical environmental communications researcher. His training in both political science and media and discourse analysis (PhD, University of Melbourne) combine to design and apply critical frameworks to how societies narrate climate change and economic transition. His present work is focused on how the Olympic Games negotiates the tensions between its self-appointed sustainability leadership role and the vast environmental footprints of its operations.
