Dr. Le Anh Nguyen Long is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. She is Fellow and Board Member of the Samdhana Institute, a Fellow at Parabukas and the Manila Observatory, and a member of the European Urban Research Association’s executive board. Before joining the UT, Le Anh was researcher at the Center for Environmental Policy and Behavior (University of California, Davis) and at the Institute of Political Science (University of Münster). Le Anh holds a joint PhD in Public Policy and Political Science from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University (Bloomington). She is the author of “Co-creation and Smart Cities: Looking Beyond Technology.” Le Anh’s area of expertise is in public policy, policy analysis and program evaluation, and social network analysis. She conducts research on local communities activism and advocacy (e.g. community based forestry and community energy) in Southeast Asia, Europe, and the United States in the domains of energy transitions, environmental conservation, climate mitigation, adaptation, and disaster response with a special focus on marginalized communities. Her work has been funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation, the Dutch Research Council, and by the Philippine Forest Foundation.
