William San Martín is an Assistant Professor of Global Environmental Science, Technology, and Governance at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Research Fellow at the Earth Systems Governance Project.
William was born and raised in Chile and specializes in environmental justice. His primary research examines global nitrogen governance and sustainable development in the Global South. William is a historian and science and technology studies (STS) scholar with extensive experience in public policy and international organizations. His work has received support from the US National Science Foundation, MIT’s STS Program and History Section, and the Rachel Carson Center for Environment & Society.
