Jonathan Kim is a research associate at the Energy and Policy Institute, where he focuses on investigating local opposition to renewable energy projects in the American Midwest. He received a Master of Public Affairs-Master of Science in Environmental Science at Indiana University-Bloomington’s O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. While in graduate school, Jonathan was a research assistant at the Energy Justice Lab analyzing utility disconnections and with Dr. Kenneth Richards researching the political constraints on environmental policy instrument choice and design. Jonathan has prior work experience at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, U.S. House of Representatives, and Liga para a Protecção da Natureza.
