Aritra Chakrabarty is a PhD researcher in energy and environment public policy (EEP). His work is at the intersection of gender, social justice and role of institutions in energy transition. His research focuses on decentralized renewable energy systems, with emphasis on rural community solar programs in India. He’s also a teaching Instructor at MTU for the ‘Environment and Society’ course. Apart from his academic work, he also engages as an observer as a RINGO member at UNFFCC Annual Conference of Parties (COP), serving as a reviewer for academic journals, networking through academic associations, and leadership role on campus.
