Emily Matthews Luxon (PhD, University of California, San Diego) is an associate professor of Political Science at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, specializing in the politics, policy, and discourses of the environment and food systems, with an emphasis on climate change. She is the author of multiple articles on the political behavior and discourses of environmental advocacy organizations, including their strategic responses to information and transparency (or lack thereof) in the policymaking process. Her current research explores political discourses surrounding responsibility for climate change, as well as theories of power and responsibility, especially as they apply to climate, environment, and food-systems policy and advocacy.
