Dr. Adnan Sirage Ali is an environmental scientist and public health expert with a strong interdisciplinary background in water, sanitation, and urban health. He holds a PhD in Water and Public Health from Addis Ababa University, along with MSc degrees in Environmental Science (UNESCO-IHE) and Biology (Addis Ababa University).
Dr. Adnan currently serves as Special Assistant to the Vice President for Research and Community Engagement at Kotebe University of Education (KUE), where he also teaches in the Department of Environmental Management. In addition, he is the Managing Director of Integrity Consultancy Service (ICS), leading national and regional research initiatives that focus on WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), climate resilience, environmental health, and sustainable urban development.
With more than 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Adnan has contributed to numerous research and consultancy projects across Ethiopia. His work has been published in leading international journals and addresses key issues such as wastewater irrigation, e-waste management, hygiene behavior change, and environmental literacy.
He is a recipient of the Japan Joint World Bank Postgraduate Scholarship and the UKRI-GCRF Water Security Fellowship. His commitment to advancing equitable and evidence-based solutions continues to shape public policy, academic scholarship, and community-based interventions across the region.
