Annika is a PhD student in the Environmental Science Policy and Management program at UC Berkeley. Her research interests are broadly on decarbonization policies, just transitions, rural sociology, and the American West. Right now, she is interested in studying how energy developments and infrastructure is intersecting with politics and partisan divides in the Rocky Mountain region. She has a BA in Environmental Studies and a Minor in Spanish from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Masters of International Development from Sciences Po, and has worked with the FAO, UNDP, and Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs in NYC before starting the PhD. In her free time, she likes to run, ski and paint.
