Asnake, A. Chanie is a PhD candidate and research fellow in African Studies at the Department of Political Science, University of Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. His dissertation focuses on the nexus between foreign aid and democracy in Ethiopia. Mr. Asnake holds a BA degree in Journalism and Communication from Bahir Dar University (Ethiopia), MA degree in African Studies from Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia) and another MA in European Studies on Society, Science and Technology from Maastricht University (the Netherlands).
