Carolin V. Zorell is Senior Lecturer in Political Science at the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Örebro University, Sweden. Her research interests are in environmental sustainability and political participation, with a particular focus on the preconditions and diffusion processes of behavior change and the transformation of consumption towards environmental sustainability. Using a variety of mainly quantitative methods (experiment, surveys), and connecting different social and behavioral sciences, she studies how contexts, self-perceptions, and conscious as well as unconscious social influences form attitudes and behavior. Before starting at Örebro University in 2019, she studied International Business in Pforzheim and Chicago, followed by a Master and Doctorate in Political Science at the University of Mannheim and Essex University. She also worked as researcher, Lecturer, and Research Associate at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research, University of Mannheim, and for the University of Siegen.
