Chelsea Schelly is a sociologist interested in the intersections of technology, society, and wellbeing of human and more-than-human communities. Much of her research uses community engagement and social science research methods to support federally funded team science focused on energy transitions, climate adaptation, and community-scale sustainability and resilience. Schelly’s work is increasingly motivated by her interest in understanding the underlying social logics that perpetuate systems and decision making that harm human and more-than-human communities despite our scientific understandings and technological capabilities.
