“I’m a curious person, and that curiosity has taken me down all kinds of different paths, from working in a transnational company to academics, being this filed the most accurate for my curiosity.
I am a specialist in global governance and global-local dynamics, holding a PhD in Political and Social Sciences with a focus on International Relations. My diverse educational background and professional experience form the foundation of my interdisciplinary perspective, which spans politics, economics, sociology, and human rights. I believe that interdisciplinarity is essential for analyzing the world’s most complex challenges, enabling a holistic understanding and the development of innovative, eclectic solutions.
I currently conduct qualitative research at the North American Research Center at UNAM, focusing on corporate social responsibility, corporate state capture, climate obstruction, and trade and environmental disputes in the North American region. My work critically explores the intersections of corporate practices and public policy, uncovering the far-reaching implications of corporate influence on governance and environmental standards. My aim is to shed light on the complexities of these dynamics and their consequences for social equity and ecological sustainability across North America. Additionally, I investigate the role of transnational corporations in shaping regulatory frameworks and influencing climate action discourse, emphasizing the urgent need for strengthened accountability mechanisms in corporate governance.”
