I am an interdisciplinary scholar and my work operates at the intersections of governance, development and justice. My research largely focuses on self governance and community-based adaptation to changes like climate and the pandemic. I argue that although self-governance is important and matters a great deal, there are circumstances when external intervention in the form of state, non-state actors or even networks of actors and institutions is necessary.
