I am a Juris Doctor with more than ten years of experience working at the Court of Justice of Paraná (Brazil), where I worked as chief of staff and legal advisor. My research interests focus on environmental issues such as supply chains (CSDDD), global value chains (global asymmetries between the North and South of the globe), climate change, environmental legislation, and climate justice. Throughout my career in Brazil, I have been directly involved in numerous cases relating to environmental crimes and organized crime.
I also have a master’s degree in criminology from Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam and Universiteit Ghent, focusing on green criminology and the environmental impact of dangerous supply chains. I am also studying a PhD program on symmetries and gaps in the supply chain involving companies and countries from the global North and South. A parallel research project I am leading examines the impact of Mercosur-EU deal on sensitive biomes, such as the Amazon rainforest.
I also wrote several scientific publications in Brazil and am the co-author of the book ‘The Most Important Judgments of Environmental Law in Brazil’. Finally, I am also a member of the non-profit organization SOS Amazon.
