Happy Mathew Tirivangasi is a political and environmental sociologist specializing in climate change, health, adaptation, and resilience. With over twenty peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters published by leading academic publishers like Springer Nature and Palgrave Macmillan, his research focuses on topics such as indigenous knowledge, decolonizing climate change, gender, migration, xenophobia, and transitional justice. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Venda, South Africa, and a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. Happy holds an MSc in Governance and Development and an MA in Sociology, and he is also a Topic Editor for Frontiers in Human Dynamics and a reviewer for over 20 international journals.
