Jean Foyer is a research fellow at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in France. After working on socio-technical controversies around biodiversity in Mexico, he co-coordinated two collaborative ethnography research projects on global environmental governance: the first at the Rio+20 Earth Summit in Brazil in 2012 and the second at COP 21 in Paris in 2015. These global fields are complemented by more localised ethnographic approaches to agro-ecology or traditional knowledge in Mexico, Panama and France.
