Joan Enguer holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from the University of Valencia, followed by a Master’s in Secondary Education and a Master’s in Political Analysis from the Open University of Catalonia. Currently, Enguer is pursuing a PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tosun, as part of the ERC-funded project “Deep Decarbonization: The Democratic Challenge of Navigating Governance Traps” (DeepDCarb).

Enguer’s research interests lie in the intersection of party politics and climate change, specifically examining how multilevel, territorial, and partisan politics shape political parties’ climate policy preferences.
