Since April 2025, Karolina Heck is a Ph.D. student at the Transformation Design and Research Institute of the University Flensburg and the Center for Interdisciplinary Gender Research at Technical University Berlin. She earned her master’s degree in Geography of Global Change at the University of Freiburg, Germany. After that, she spent two years working in environmental policy consulting in Berlin. Her research focuses on queer epistemologies in the context of socio-ecological transformations.
