Kate Sievert is an Alfred Deakin Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. Her PhD (Deakin University) examined the political economy of meat reduction globally for healthy and sustainable food systems. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy) and a Master of Public Health from Monash University. Kate’s research focuses on the political economy of global food systems, examining the role of power and influence in food system governance. She is President and Co-founder of the advocacy organisation, Healthy Food Systems Australia.
