Dr. M.B. Muhammad is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Sociology at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Nigeria and also a Visiting Senior Lecturer at Federal University of Birnin-Kebbi, Nigeria.

An Environmental Sociologist with research interests in Climate change mitigation and adaptation, Agro-food systems, social perceptions of environmental problems, human-induced environmental degradation, social distribution of environmental hazards, natural disasters, and environmental sustainability.

A recipient of NEEDS fellowship as a graduate student. He has attended various international conferences and made presentation of his research work in academic fora.

Muhammad has published articles and book chapters. He is also, a reviewer in numerous reputable international academic journals such as:
