Oren Pizmony-Levy is an Associate Professor in the Department of International and Transcultural Studies at Teachers College, Columbia University. Trained as a sociologist (Indiana University-Bloomington, 2013), his research and teaching focus on the intersection between education and global social movements, such as the environmental and sustainability movements. Pizmony-Levy is the Founding Director of the Center for Sustainable Futures where he leads a research-practice partnership with New York City public schools.
