Pascal Verhoest is professor of critical thinking in communication and conducts research on perceptions and representations of climate change; reception of media messages; environmental science communication; political communication; environmental policy analysis; always trying to bridge between sociology, psychology and communication studies; collaborating with natural scientists; developing research methods that combine qualitative and quantitative methods; recently migrated to environmental research. Pascal Verhoest has previous experience in communication and innovation studies; as policy advisor for several national European Governments and the European Commission and as policy maker for the Federal Belgian Government and as national expert for the European Commission.
