Dr. Shaina Sadai (she/her) is a climate scientist and critical physical geographer who conducts interdisciplinary research on sea level rise, climate change impacts and attribution, and climate justice. Her work on climate justice has focused on the implications of long-term sea level rise under the Paris Agreement framework, and using multispecies climate justice theory to understand how climate change impacts diverse lifeforms on Earth. Her postdoctoral work focused on climate litigation and corporate accountability for industrial high emitters. She has worked as a scientific advisor and co-author on legal briefs submitted in several climate litigation cases at the International Court of Justice, International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, and European Court of Human Rights.
